Our work towards affordable housing in Marin is just beginning

Time to pivot! August 14, the Bay Area Housing Finance Authority (BAHFA) removed Regional Measure 4, the $20 billion affordable housing bond measure, from the November 2024 ballot. We thank you for joining us in supporting RM4. Now we ask for your support for the next step in securing desperately needed funding for affordable housing in Marin: Proposition 5.

Marin voters still name affordable housing as their #1 concern. Affordable housing supports economic growth, community stability, and sustainable communities. Marin is in a housing crisis, and we must be strategic and focused as we envision a long-term strategy for more affordable housing.

Over the past several months, Housing For All Marin has built a powerful grassroots coalition of Marin residents, organizations, and leaders organized to directly address these concerns and advocate for solutions. We must pivot quickly and leverage this momentum to support Proposition 5 on the November ballot.

Join us in the movement to help pass Prop 5, which will set the threshold to pass local bond measures for affordable housing and public infrastructure at 55%. Passing Prop 5 will pave the way for the BAHFA bond and other affordable housing bond measures in the future. We look forward to sharing with you more ways to support Prop 5 and get involved with Housing for All Marin in the coming days.
